The Void Project was founded in 2018 by filmmaker Azza El Hassan to explore artistically the presence and absence of visual archives as a discourse in wartime narrative formation. In this context, the absence of the archive or it’s presence become a subject of narration.
The Void Project was founded in 2018 by filmmaker Azza El Hassan to explore artistically the presence and absence of visual archives as a discourse in wartime narrative formation. In this context, the absence of the archive or it’s presence become a subject of narration.
As a multi media project, The Void Project, restores films, curates exhibitions, and produces films.
Within The Void Project, a collection of films have been restored and screened, at various art venues, festivals and exhibitions around the world, such as the ICA, in London and The Royal Film Commission in Jordan.
The multi media exhibition, entitled, The Found Archive of Hani Jawherieh, went on display for a month at P21 Gallery, in London.
Currently, there is a feature film documentary in production within the project.
